Consultant Psychiatrist
A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional hospital setting based in the Preston area. As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This special hospital is an independent adult mental health hospital, specialising in the management and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems. The hospital has the expertise to treat most acute mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive states, schizophrenia and all major acute psychiatric illnesses.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist your day to day duties include:
• You will fulfill the role of Responsible Clinician to patients supervising the process of referral and admission including contribution to the pre-admission assessments
• To ensure that patients receive a person-centric care and treatment programme
• lead a team of professionals from nursing, clinical psychology, social work, occupatioal therapy and others to manage an agreed number of patients
• Work closely with the MDT teams to ensure that clients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme based on the recovery model
An ideal Consultant Psychiatrist must have these skills and experiences as they are beneficial for this position:
• Hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry
• Have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties
• You will certainly have experience at consultant level within the NHS
• Be an excellent team player keen to participate in a multi disciplinary approach to assessment with a keen interest in developing services within a forward thinking transitional environment
• Able to show a can-do attitude always
• Continue to hold a registration with the GMC including being on the special register for psychiatry
The successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent annual salary from £75,000 - £90,000 depending on experience. This exciting position is a Part Time role for 22.5 hours a week working on Day Shifts. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
